Political Posters, the Soviet Enlightenment and the Construction of a Learning Society, 1917-1928

چکیده

This paper explores the construction of a Soviet learning society represented in political posters during first decade after 1917 Socialist Revolution. The theoretical framework is based on studies societies, lifelong education and learning, education, theory multiple modernities. We employed post-structuralist discourse analysis that allowed us to explore verbal non-verbal poster elements identify key domains society. Our study identified six main discursive visual textual messages as educational devices development state. Findings show was embedded broader social, political, economic cultural practices took forms. Political served functions: they were motivators for devices, means communicate party-state agenda, part social-political curriculum come.
